Experience the way life should be

    Harraseeket Lunch & Lobster

Right on the water and right down the street. You’ll find classic counter seafood dishes (clam rolls, fried fish sandwich, lobster rolls, etc) but the real winner is around the back. There you can order lobster fresh off the boat, served with corn and steams on a cardboard tray. Open seasonally, so check online before heading over.

    5 minutes from the cabin.

  • Jameson Tavern

Historic Revolutionary War-era tavern amidst all the outlets downtown, they serve traditional American comfort food and beer. Great spot for beers and snacks while shopping, or grabbing dinner. Don’t miss their lunch special with a lobster roll and a cup of clam chowder for $25—my favorite thing in town!

    7 minutes from the cabin.

    Tuscan Oven Bistro

Right downtown, a cute (slightly fancier) restaurant with modern takes on Italian food. A good spot for celebrating special occasions.

    6 minutes from the cabin.

    Maine Beer Company

One of the most famous Maine breweries in the whole state, it’s only a couple of miles from Cozy Rock. Not only is their beer delicious (but be warned—it’s on the hoppier side!), they also serve amazing food and give 1% of all their profits back to help support environmental activities. Plus, their clam pizza is DELICIOUS.

    10 minutes from the cabin.

Portland Eats

  • Standard Baking Company

Small, and often with limited supplies, but whatever you get it will be DELICIOUS. Often long lines, but they usually move fast so don’t let that deter you!

  • Rosemont Market & Bakery

The best stop for sandwiches to go. Vegan? No problem. Last time I got their vegan tempeh sandwich with vegan mayonnaise and it was literally the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Not vegan? Lots for you. There’s a handful of locations around Portland, so there’s no excuse to miss it.

  • lobster-ketchup-fries-tray-sea

The Lobster Shack at Two Lights

If you’re out for the day checking out the famous Two Lights, definitely stop here for lunch. Seafood with picnic tables right on the water. The perfect compliment to a classically Maine location. Parking is limited — so grab lunch early.

  • Eventide Oysters

A famous spot right in downtown Portland, this is obviously a great place to get oysters (all kinds!), but I’ve also heard it’s one of the best lobster rolls in town. Be warned, it’s smaller than many, but that doesn’t seem to deter folks because it’s THAT GOOD.

  • Foulmouthed Brewery

A small, intimate brewery in South Portland, their food (beer) is AMAZING. Plus, the builder of Cozy Rock did most of the work on this place many years ago, so you know it’s beautiful.

  • Duckfat

A small, family-owned restaurant one of my best friends SWEARS by, and recommends it to everyone she knows visiting the area. You can’t go wrong with your order, though we recommend trying their fries and poutine.

  • Izakaya Minato

Small, cozy spot for izakaya-style Japanese small plates, alongside creative cocktails, beer and sake.

  • Via Vecchia

A delicious Italian spot specializing in small plates.
